Nothing is more exciting than revealing one's soul on the blank canvas. Marison Ray
Marison Ray, born in Italy, displayed her dynamic energy from the very beginning. After studying design, she launched her career in 1978 in Turin, joining ItalDesign as the only woman on Giorgetto Giugiaro’s interior design team. In 1995, she shifted her focus to art, embarking on extensive travels that enriched her perspective before returning to Turin in 2004 to collaborate with renowned artist and art publisher Ezio Gribaudo.
Her debut solo exhibition in Venice in 2006 led to further acclaim, leading to significant milestones such as “Respiro del Colore” at Milan’s Fondazione Stelline in 2021 and the monumental “Vertigo” in Florence in 2022. Marison’s work seamlessly fuses the chromatic explorations of Post-Impressionism with the boldness of Abstract Expressionism, positioning her within the transavantgarde movement, where vivid color and rich materiality define her artistic language.
